Welcome message from President of Asian Pacific Society of Dialysis Access (APSDA)
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
On behalf of the Asian Pacific Society of Dialysis Access (APSDA), I would like to invite all of you to the 8th Annual Congress of APSDA, that will be held in Bali, Indonesia on October 10th-12th, 2024.
APSDA is an international scientific society with its origins in the Dialysis Access Symposium (DAS 2015) held in Korea in 2015. And our mission is to improve the quality of dialysis patient’s care for through Dialysis Access (DA) management and to advance educational and research opportunities for physicians and medical staffs in the Asian Pacific region to achieve this mission.
In addition, for the purpose of sharing DA related information around the world, the MOU has exchanged with societies, such as Vascular Access Society in Europe (VAS), Japanese Society for Dialysis Access (JSDA), and Grupo Español Multidisciplinar del Acceso Vascular (GEMAV) in Spain for cooperative relationships and holds the international symposiums annually.
The 8th APSDA Congress will be held in Nusa Dua, Bali, one of the world’s most famous resort areas and home to a numerous culture known as” the Island of the Gods”. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Indonesian Organizing Committee for their great efforts in preparing for the Congress, and to Ina-SN, the co-host organization, for their great cooperation.
We recognize that through their grate efforts, many substantial programs such as international symposiums and workshops including hands-on sessions are being planned. DA management involves not only nephrologists but also vascular surgeons, urologists, radiologists, and many other specialists. Furthermore, DA management is a team effort involving not only physicians but also nurses and paramedical staff such as clinical engineers.
I hope that many medical professionals will attend the 8th APSDA congress, and that lively and meaningful discussions will be held under the watchful eyes of the gods of Bali.

Welcome message from Congress President APSDA 2024
Dear Colleagues and Members,
I extend a warm and joyful welcome to all of you as we gather for the 8th Annual Congress of the Asian Pacific Society of Dialysis Access (APSDA), held in conjunction with the Indonesian Society of Nephrology Annual Scientific Meeting (InaSN ASM) at the Bali International Convention Center, Indonesia, on October 10-12, 2024, under the theme “Advancing equitable access to care and optimal medication practice in the practice of nephrology and dialysis access.”
The mission of the Asian Pacific Society of Dialysis Access (APSDA) is to advance the quality of care for dialysis patients, related to clinical practice standards in dialysis access; through congresses, training and education. The 8th Annual Congress iof APSDA invites the best experts in the field of dialysis access and provides the latest knowledge and technical innovations in dialysis access management. By collaborating between experts in various APSDA member countries, we can synergize to fulfill this mission more quickly.
As APSDA’s 2024 chairman, I feel that it is my responsibility to promote knowledge and clinical practice related to dialysis access, particularly in the Asian Pacific region. In line with APSDA’s mission to improve the quality of dialysis patient care through research, education, collaboration, and clinical practice standards regarding dialysis access.
Indonesia as a host of this Congress and we choose Bali as the venue of this event, known as the “Island of the Gods,” is a place of enchantment and cultural richness, with breathtaking and wonderful natural beauty, endless beaches, and stunning sunsets, as well as vibrant traditions.
I strongly believe that the up-to-date, evidence-based knowledge and skills shared during the congress will better position you to face the challenges of dialysis access in our clinical practice.
Once again, welcome to Bali, we are looking forward for your participation. Its hospitable people and tropical climate will create a lasting experience.
